
ProSEA's Objectives
To unite shipwreck explorers, salvors, archaeologists and historians throughout the World for their mutual benefit and protection, and for the benefit and protection of shipwreck resources and the interests of the general public;
Establish and maintain high standards of professional conduct among its Members;
Provide a forum for education, exchange of experience and opinions through discussion, study and publication;
Develop standards for the ethical treatment of underwater cultural resources, shipwreck remains and their contents that consider all constituencies who have an interest in their disposition;
Promote dialogue between salvors, archaeologists, sport divers, scientists, fishermen, museums, insurance companies and any other parties who may have an interest in world-wide shipwreck resources;
Sponsor meetings, trade shows and exhibitions to acquaint the Association's members, as well as the companies who do business with them, with advancements in technology and science that serve the needs of the Membership;
Represent its Members in matters of international importance, which may affect the Members or their ability to engage in their business or research.
